Europe's Largest Antiquarian Book Fair Returns to York Next Month

The York National Book Fair returns to the Knavesmire Suite at York Racecourse on September 12 and 13

Established in 1974, the
 York Book Fair is regarded as the largest  rare and antiquarian book fair in the U.K and Europe. Held over two days, more than 200 
leading booksellers offering more than 100,000 books, plus maps, and prints, 
with two new exhibitors specialising in collectable posters joining the 
line–up this year. The turnover of the fair is consistently around the £1m mark.

Trade stands will also be in attendance selling
 marbled papers and binding materials, while providers of services to the book trade including 
software and packaging material suppliers will also appear.


The fair runs 12 noon until 7pm on September 11, and 10am-5pm on September 12. Entrance is £2 on the door, free for under 16s, and tickets can be re–used all weekend. Advance
 free tickets can be downloaded from the book fair's website.
